How to read the character system
The characters in The Chaos Stack are not literal people on your team. They are archetypes of technical and organizational failure modes. When you see Scope Creep asking for "just one more feature," it's not a joke about a specific product manager—it's a visualization of how unmanaged requirements destroy system integrity over time.
Each character acts as a proxy for complex technical trade-offs: Cache Guy is speed vs. correctness, Mono is legacy maintenance vs. rewrite risk, and Agent A is AI capability vs. governance. By making these invisible forces visible, the system gives teams a shared vocabulary to discuss predictable failure before it reaches production.
